Conshohocken, PA, September 15, 2025 – Mainline Metals, Inc., a leading nationwide distributor and supplier of prime and secondary steel, is proud to announce the acquisition of Champion Strapping, a trusted provider of high-performance strapping products and packaging solutions headquartered in Canal Winchester, OH.
The move signals Mainline’s deliberate step into the packaging sector, broadening its portfolio beyond steel to better serve a wide range of industrial clients. Known for its durable and dependable strapping products, Champion Strapping has been helping businesses secure and ship goods for more than four decades.
By bringing Champion Strapping into the Mainline Metals family of businesses, the company is investing in the rapid growth of the packaging market. This partnership ensures that customers across North America will benefit from an expanded range of industrial packaging solutions, such as steel strapping, seals, polyester and polypropylene strapping, and packaging tools, all backed by Mainline Metals’ logistics expertise and national distribution network.
To support this growth, Mainline Metals has partnered with Jason Noble, an industry expert with over 30 years of experience in steel strapping and packaging manufacturing, to usher in a new era for Champion Strapping. Under Noble’s leadership, Mainline Metals has opened a new production facility in Canal Winchester. Outfitted with modern equipment and technology, this 60,000 square feet facility increases output while improving efficiency, allowing customers to receive high-quality strapping products faster than ever before.
“This acquisition reflects Mainline Metals’ vision of building a family of businesses that deliver practical, customer-focused solutions,” said Andrew Geisler, CEO of Mainline Metals. “Champion Strapping is an ideal partner thanks to its long-standing reputation for innovation and reliability that aligns perfectly with our values. This new chapter ensures we can provide even greater value to our customers.”
Champion Strapping’s leadership and employees will continue to operate as part of the new Mainline Metals-owned entity. Customers will see the same dependable service they’ve come to expect, while gaining the benefits of fresh investment and increased resources.
The acquisition of Champion Strapping follows Mainline Metals’ earlier additions of Great South Metals and Mainline Processing, reinforcing the company’s growth strategy of acquiring well-established businesses that complement its core operations. The result is a stronger, more diverse offering that integrates steel distribution with industrial packaging solutions.
With Champion Strapping now part of the Mainline Metals family, customers gain access to greater capacity, improved speed to market, and the assurance of consistent quality. The new Canal Winchester facility sets the stage for long-term growth, while the combined expertise of both teams positions Mainline Metals to deliver innovative solutions for decades to come.
