What is it?

This defect happens in galvanized or galvannealed steel, and looks like uncoated spots on the coil. The defect is also known as pits or blemishes. It can appear as a result of coil surface contamination, line furnace atmosphere problems, or excessive temperature of the sheet entering the galvanizing bath.
