What is it?
This defect appears in cut-to-length coils that appear to be curved, as if they were still wound up. They can appear turned-up, turned-down, or have a curling of the ends. Other names for this defect include full center, bowed shape, bowing, or curling. This defect can be caused when inadequate leveling is performed by a processor, or when there is uneven working of the sheet through the strip thickness.
