What is it?
This defect appears as a few holes, along with a drag mark, in the rolling direction of the coil. It can also be known as holes or tears. High hardness spots, on the steel, can cause pinholes during the cold-rolling process. The high hardness spots can be gouges or deep scratches that get rolled in debris on a pickled band, or from the rolling process.
