What is it?
Leveling is a process that stretches the steel past its yield point. This is done to equalize stresses within the material to provide flatness and eliminate defects in the shape of the metal such as edgewave, center buckle, chatter, and more. Once leveled, the steel can meet fabricators’ increased demands for flatness required by laser and plasma cutting, stamping, and other manufacturing processes.
